MERCER COUNTY, Ky. -- The nurse of a 9-year-old autistic boy who claimed her son was stuffed in a duffel bag by a teacher took her allegations to the kind board Thursday night. She said she left angrier than when she arrived.
Sandra Baker said her son, Christopher, was disciplined arranged a bag at his school in Mercer County last month.
Since then, 170,000 people have signed an online application demanding the firing of the teacher responsible and for extra training for distinctive education instructors.
The story has grabbed national headlines, but for Baker, that's not enough.
A lot of people over I'm blowing it out of proportion. I don't. This is my son we're talking about, Baker said.
Thursday twilight, Baker brought her allegations, emotions and two boxes filled with the 170,000 signatures of mainstay to the school board.
At the meeting, Baker again called for the firing of those confusing.
What they did to Christopher was wrong.
