Directors with the foundation, Hillsboro Self-confident School District (HISD) school trustees, Superintendent Buck Gilcrease, Hillsboro Acute School Golden Eagle Band members and foundation donors boarded a big yellow educational institution bus decked with accolade parade and foundation banners to deliver the checks and a balloon perfume.
The nearly 2,000 students of the HISD will reap the benefits of the grants now and for years to fingers on, according to foundation President Lee Auvenshine.
A total of 19 checks were presented, ranging from $270 to $1,500 for a entire of about $19,000.
